Avari Events is a bespoke event styling and décor company working across Buckinghamshire, from Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield, Amersham and Taplow in the south up through High Wycombe and Marlow to Aylesbury, Buckingham and Milton Keynes. The county is forty-five minutes to an hour from our Harrow workshop on the M40, A413 or A404, and its venues are among the most beautiful, and most protected, we work in. Stately homes, Palladian houses, abbeys and private estates almost universally prohibit fixings, naked flame and anything that bears on original fabric, and many pair a listed interior with a marquee on the lawn. So our Buckinghamshire designs are built freestanding by default: weighted bases, ground-supported drape frames, bespoke CNC-cut structures that stand on their own, LED candlelight, and protective boarding under every load. The result looks like it belongs to the house, and leaves nothing behind but photographs.
How do you style a listed Buckinghamshire venue safely?
By designing around the building rather than onto it. Nothing is drilled, taped, pinned or suspended from historic fabric. Drape hangs from our own frames, florals are engineered to stand rather than to lean on plasterwork, and heat-free LED sources sit anywhere near fabric or timber.
Before your date the venue receives our method statement, risk assessment, insurance and flame-retardancy certification. Estate events teams are used to chasing suppliers for these; they will not have to chase us.
What is involved in dressing a marquee in the grounds?
More than dressing a room, because a marquee starts as a shell with a grass floor. The plan covers lining and drape, flooring, power distribution, lighting rig, heating for shoulder-season dates, and a vehicle route that will not leave tyre scars across a lawn your host has spent a year growing. We survey the ground, agree the route with the estate and coordinate directly with the marquee contractor so both builds interleave instead of colliding.

Frequently not. A single domestic supply will not carry catering, lighting and AV at once, and discovering that on the day is a poor experience for everyone. We assess the load during the survey and arrange proper distribution or a silenced generator where the site requires one.
