Event floral design is the planning, making and installation of every flower an event contains: the arrangements on the tables, the blooms dressing a ceremony structure, and the larger installations that shape a room. Avari Events has designed florals for weddings, corporate events and private celebrations across London and the Home Counties since 2009. We work in two ways. Our silk arrangements are produced in-house: lifelike, long-lasting and cost effective, they hold their form through a long day under warm lighting and are unaffected by seasonal availability. For clients who prefer fresh blooms, we design alongside experienced partner florists, tailoring the varieties and palette to your style. Schemes run from soft, romantic tablescapes to bold structural installations built on frames made in our own workshop, and our crew installs and clears every element on the day.
Should we choose silk or fresh flowers?
It depends on where the flowers sit and how closely guests will see them. Silk gives you the same visual impact for a lower outlay, survives a full day under hot lighting without wilting, and ignores the seasons entirely, which makes it the practical choice for large structures and high installations viewed from across a room. Fresh blooms carry scent and a softness that rewards close inspection, so they earn their place in centrepieces and personal flowers. Many of our schemes use both, colour-matched at the design stage.
What kinds of floral work do you do?
Table arrangements and centrepieces, ceremony flowers, aisle and entrance dressing, floral detailing on mandaps and stage sets, and larger structural installations, hanging pieces, floral walls and arches, built to the dimensions of the room. Anything requiring a frame or armature is fabricated by our workshop, so the structure and the flowers are designed as one object rather than one being hidden behind the other.
How much does event floral design cost?
Floral design starts from £750 and is quoted by scheme rather than by stem. The figure reflects whether the work is silk or fresh, the number of arrangements, and the scale of any installation: a hanging or structural piece carries build and rigging time that a table arrangement does not. Delivery, installation and clearing are included.
How do you match flowers to the rest of the room?
Colour is agreed once, across everything. The palette for the flowers is set in the same conversation as the draping, the linen and the lighting, because a warm amber uplight will pull a blush arrangement towards peach and a cool wash will drain it. We test the combination before it is signed off rather than after.
