Chair cover and table linen hire is the supply, fitting and collection of the soft furnishings that dress a dining room: the covers and sashes on every chair, the cloths and runners on every table, and the napkins folded at each place. Avari Events has provided them for weddings, corporate dinners and private celebrations across London and the Home Counties since 2009. Our chair covers are cut from high-quality spandex for a secure, crease-free fit over standard banqueting chairs, and our linens run from plain floor-length cloths to damask and textured finishes for a richer surface. Sashes, runners, overlays and napkins are then chosen to sit within the wider styling scheme. Our crew fits everything on site and collects it afterwards, so a room of two hundred covers is dressed and cleared without you touching a single chair.
What’s included in chair cover and linen hire?
A typical order covers chair covers with a coordinating sash or band, floor-length table cloths, runners or overlays where the design calls for them, and folded napkins at each setting. Delivery, fitting and collection are handled by our own team. Because linen sits directly beneath the table centrepieces and beneath the light, we specify all three together: a warm uplight reads very differently on damask than it does on plain cotton.
Why do chair covers make such a difference?
Because a banqueting room contains far more chairs than anything else. Mismatched or dated venue chairs are the single most visible interruption in a wide photograph, and a fitted cover replaces two hundred small distractions with one continuous, calm surface. The sash then becomes the place where your colour scheme is repeated around the whole room.
How much does chair cover hire cost?
Chair covers and linen are quoted per item, starting from £3.50 per chair. The rate reflects the fabric chosen, the quantity, and whether you would like our crew to fit and collect or prefer to take the pieces on dry hire. Larger celebrations are usually quoted as a complete room package alongside the rest of the styling.
Can everything be matched to our colour scheme?
Yes, and it should be. Sashes, napkins, runners and overlays are selected against the same palette as your venue draping, floral design and lighting, so the tables belong to the room rather than sitting apart from it. We bring physical samples to the design meeting, because fabric colour rarely reads the same on a screen as it does under venue light.

Our crew fits the covers, dresses the tables and collects everything afterwards. Dry hire is available if your venue or planner prefers to handle the setup themselves.
Can sashes and napkins be matched to our colours?
Sashes, napkins and runners are chosen from our colour range and matched to the wider styling scheme, so the linen agrees with the drapes, florals and lighting rather than competing with them.
What linen do you hold besides plain cloths?
Alongside plain floor-length cloths we hold damask and textured linens for a richer surface, plus runners, overlays and coordinating napkins. Table numbers and printed menus can be produced by our design and print team.
How late can we change our numbers?
Final quantities are usually confirmed a week or two before the event, in line with your caterer's numbers. Small adjustments after that are normally possible, and we always allow a margin on the day.
