Event Styling in East London

Blank-canvas event styling in East London: draping, stage builds, LED walls and lighting for warehouse and dry-hire venues, installed by our own crew.

Avari Events styles weddings, corporate events and celebrations across East London: Shoreditch, Hackney, Bethnal Green, Stratford, the Royal Docks, Canary Wharf and out through Ilford and Barking. East London is where the capital’s blank-canvas venues live: converted warehouses, brick railway arches, dockside halls and exhibition floors that arrive completely bare. Our work here goes further than décor. From our Harrow workshop we bring drape and rigging, stage sets built on our own CNC bench, LED walls, sound, lighting and flooring, then dress the finished space with florals and tablescapes. The A406 to the A12 or A13 is a cross-city run, so East London loads are scheduled early and large builds often start the evening before. Because we build in-house rather than subcontract, the structure, the finish and the lighting are all designed together, and the room reads as one idea rather than several hired parts.

What makes East London venues different to style?

A conventional hotel ballroom gives you a finished room to decorate. An East London warehouse gives you volume, texture and very little else: no soft furnishing, no dimmable house lighting, sometimes no three-phase power at the point you need it. That is an opportunity rather than a problem, but it changes the order of work.

We start with the infrastructure: where the power comes from, where truss can stand, how sound behaves in a hard-surfaced room. Only then do we design the look. Creative lighting does most of the heavy lifting in these spaces, with LED video walls and projection used where a brand or a couple wants moving content behind the stage.

Which East London events do you take on?

Corporate launches and conferences around the Royal Docks and Canary Wharf; awards evenings and brand activations in Shoreditch and Hackney; Asian and multi-faith weddings through Ilford, Barking and Newham; and a growing number of gallery-style parties in the arches and old industrial buildings. The common thread is a venue that expects its suppliers to be technically capable, not just decorative.

Can you handle production as well as décor?

Yes. Audio visual, staging, screens and technical crew sit alongside the styling in one quote and one schedule, which removes the awkward gaps that appear when a décor supplier and a production company work from separate plans. One project manager owns the room from empty to finished, and stays on site through the event.

How do you protect an East London warehouse floor and fabric?

Most converted buildings come with strict conditions on fixings, floor loading and heat. We work to them: weighted bases instead of drilled ones, protective boarding under staging and dancefloors, cold LED sources near fabric, and a documented make-good on the way out. It is the reason venues invite us back.

Frequently asked questions

Can you style a dry-hire warehouse venue in East London from scratch?

Yes, dry hire is where we do some of our best work. An empty East London warehouse needs power distribution, rigging, draping, staging, lighting and often flooring before any décor goes in. We can supply and coordinate the whole build, or work alongside the production team you already have.

How long does an East London install take?

A dressed hotel ballroom takes four to six hours. A full warehouse build with staging, drape, rigging and AV usually needs a full day, and sometimes an overnight. Once we have seen the venue we give you a schedule with crew numbers and a firm finish time.

Do you rig from the ceiling in East London warehouse venues?

Only where the structure and the venue's own rigging policy permit it, and always with the venue's technical manager involved. Many converted East London buildings are listed or have unrated roof structures, so we design freestanding ground-supported truss and drape systems that carry their own load instead.

How far is your base from East London?

Our workshop is in Harrow, so an East London run is a cross-city one, typically the North Circular to the A12 or A13. We schedule East London loads early to stay ahead of the traffic, and for large builds we start the night before.

Do you cover Canary Wharf and the Docklands?

Yes. We regularly work at Docklands, Royal Docks and Canary Wharf venues, where access is usually via a controlled service route with a booked loading slot. We handle those bookings and the accompanying paperwork on your behalf.
