Event Styling in North London

Avari Events is a bespoke event styling and décor company working throughout North London, from Islington and Camden out through Barnet, Enfield, Wood Green and Edgware. We design, build and install the elements guests actually notice: mandaps, draped ceilings, stage sets, backdrops, tablescapes, florals and layered uplighting, all produced in our own Harrow workshop rather than sourced in at the last minute. What does event styling in North London usually involve?

Most North London commissions begin with a room that is architecturally interesting and completely undressed. The work is deciding what to conceal and what to celebrate. In a listed civic hall we might drape the side walls to quieten a busy interior while leaving a barrel ceiling exposed and washing it in colour. In a modern stadium suite the opposite applies: the room needs warmth, so we build a full backdrop and stage set and bring the eye down with low florals and candlelight.

A typical wedding package here includes venue draping, a head table backdrop, table centrepieces across the floor and LED uplighting throughout. For Hindu and Sikh ceremonies we add a mandap built to the couple’s chosen style, with the aisle and stage carpeted to match.

How do you handle access and loading at North London venues?

Loading is the part of a North London installation that most often decides whether a day runs calmly. Controlled parking zones, red routes, lift-only access from a basement car park and shared service yards are all common. We resolve them in advance: a site visit establishes the route from van to room, the lift dimensions, the door heights and the point at which the venue’s own team needs the space back.

Where access is tight we build in sections small enough to carry, and where a venue restricts fixings we use freestanding structures that take no load from the walls or ceiling.
