Event Styling in Harrow

Harrow's local event styling studio since 2009. Mandaps, draping, florals and lighting designed and built in our Waverly Industrial Estate workshop.

Avari Events has been designing and building event décor from Harrow since 2009. Our workshop, stores and design studio sit together at Unit 11, Waverly Industrial Estate on Hailsham Drive, HA1 4TR, which means that when we style an event in Harrow, the mandap, the drape, the stage set and the centrepieces travel a few minutes rather than a few hours. That proximity changes what is possible. Local installations get the earliest access slots, the fastest turnarounds and genuine same-day problem solving, because a missing bracket or an extra length of fabric is fifteen minutes away rather than a lost afternoon. Harrow’s venues run from the borough’s community halls, temples, gurdwaras and school halls to the historic Great Barn at Headstone Manor and the arts and leisure spaces at Hatch End. We know their ceiling heights, their loading doors and their house rules, and we design to them from the first sketch.

What can you see at the Harrow workshop?

Everything, at full size. Photographs flatten colour and hide scale, so we would rather show you a drape swatch under the lighting we would actually use, stand you next to a mandap so you can judge its proportion, and set a table exactly as it would appear on the day.

The workshop is also where we build. Stage sets, plinths, arches and bespoke CNC-cut features are made on site, which is why a design that exists only in your head can still be made real for your date.

Which Harrow venues do you work in most often?

Headstone Manor’s Great Barn, the borough’s community and civic halls, the temples and gurdwaras across Harrow and Wealdstone, Harrow Arts Centre, and the schools that open their halls for balls and prize evenings. Many of these are shared spaces with a booking directly before yours, so the whole install has to land inside a two or three hour window. Local storage is what makes that achievable.

What styling suits a Harrow community hall?

Community halls are honest, practical rooms: good bones, plain surfaces, unflattering overhead light. The fix is almost always the same three moves: drape the walls to soften and unify, kill or gel the house lighting and replace it with warm uplighting, and build one strong focal point at the head of the room. Dress the tables to that palette and a hall becomes a ballroom.

Do you only work in Harrow?

No, we cover London and the Home Counties. But Harrow is home, and local clients get the benefit of it: shorter lead times, easier site visits and a team that can be at your venue in minutes.

If your celebration is in Harrow, you are a short drive from the people who will style it. Get in touch or call 0203 923 8990 to arrange a workshop visit.

Frequently asked questions

Where exactly in Harrow are you based?

Our workshop, stores and design studio are at Unit 11, Waverly Industrial Estate, Hailsham Drive, Harrow HA1 4TR. Everything we install is built, stored and prepared there, which is why Harrow events get the shortest lead times we offer.

Can I come and see the pieces before I book?

Yes. We prefer it. Visits to the Harrow workshop are by appointment so we can set up the drape colours, centrepiece options and mandap styles you are considering and let you see them at full size rather than in a photograph. Call 0203 923 8990 to arrange a time.

How late can you take a booking for a Harrow venue?

Later than most. Because the stock and the crew are already in Harrow, we can often turn around a local installation at short notice when a supplier has let someone down. It is always worth calling, even close to the date.

Do you style community halls, temples and gurdwaras in Harrow?

Regularly. We work in the borough's community halls, temples, gurdwaras and school halls, and we are familiar with the practical realities: shared kitchens, fixed seating, limited fixing points and tight changeover slots between bookings.

Do you deliver hire items to Harrow addresses?

Yes, and because we are local, delivery and collection within Harrow are simple to schedule around your venue's access window. Talk to us about what you need and we will confirm timings when we quote.
